“Remnants of Summer” is a still life project that revisits the quiet, unassuming moments of everyday life inside those beach houses that shaped our childhood, spaces suspended in time, where the years seemed to blur together and nothing ever felt in a hurry. These were places where light filtered slowly through worn curtains, salt lingered in the air, and ordinary objects carried the weight of memory.

The days stretched endlessly, long and idle, unfolding at their own pace. Time was marked not by clocks or notifications, but by simple rituals: the sound of footsteps on warm floors, the repetition of meals shared without urgency, the slow drying of towels in the sun. Life moved gently, untouched by screens or digital distractions, guided instead by the rhythm of the sea and the heat settling heavily on the skin.

There was a constant stillness in the air, dense and expectant, broken only by the subtle signs of change, the darkening sky, the distant rumble of thunder, the quiet anticipation of an approaching storm. In this suspended state, everything felt both fleeting and eternal. “Remnants of Summer” seeks to preserve these fragments of time, capturing the silence, the weight of the air, and the fragile beauty of moments that once felt infinite, and now live only in memory.
