Tomatoes for Pasta
Personal Project

“Tomatoes for Pasta” is a personal still life project that celebrates a single ingredient: the tomato. Whole, simple, unadorned, it exists alone, commanding attention without explanation. The rest, the light, the framing, the quiet space around it, becomes a companion, shaping how we see, rather than what we are told to see.

The project is about the act of making. How light brushes across curves, how shadow sculpts form, how subtle shifts in perspective transform the familiar into something intimate. Nothing else enters the frame; no narrative, no props, just the tomato and the quiet rigor of observation.

“Tomatoes for Pasta” is a meditation on creation itself. It speaks of patience, repetition, and the simple joy of seeing. It is about making still lifes not to tell a story, but to practice presence, returning again and again to a single subject to witness its shape, color, and quiet weight.
